Teachers devote huge amounts of time to nurturing and developing their students.
Most teachers are pretty good at their job but then there are those that capture the hearts of their students and remain in their memories for the rest of their lives.
One such teacher was Mr. Tamatea from Palmerston North Boys High School, Manawatu, New Zealand.
He meant so much to the students that after his death, they gathered together to give him an amazing send off.
In the video below you an see the entire school who have gathered in the school grounds to perform a Haka during the arrival of Mr. Tamatea in the hearse.
You will probably recognise the Haka if you have ever seen the New Zealand rugby team before a match. It is is a traditional ancestral war cry, dance, or challenge from the Māori people of New Zealand.
Seeing these boys perform the Haka in respect for their beloved late teacher is a truly moving moment.
